Lido is an Italian word for "beach" and is a public outdoor swimming pool or part of a beach where people can swim, lie in the sun, or participate in water sports.
Lidos are popular places for serious as well as social swimming. They are a place to exercise the body and mind in the open air and who doesn’t love a day at the lido in the sunshine with friends and family.
