Ice & winter swimming

Cold water swimming—also known as winter swimming or ice swimming—describes swimming outdoors (lake, river, sea, swimming pool, etc.) mainly during the winter. This special form of swimming sport is becoming increasingly popular particularly since the growing evidence for the mental health benefits brought on by the social cold water dip.

In recent years, ice swimming (in water below 5 °C) has evolved into an all year-round swimming event, with many swimmers participating and competing regularly in both local and international events - seeking out the ice!

Check out the MYSWIM specific artwork that captures the essence of the swims.
